With regard to fire safety every employee should be given adequate information and training in the action to be taken in the event of a fire. All employees require basic training on the location and use of fire extinguishers and the evacuation procedures from your premises. It is recommended that fire extinguisher training takes place on an annual basis and that fire drills take place every 6 months. All employees should, at induction stage, be briefed on the Fire and Emergency Procedures from the Safety Statement. It should include the following:
Managers and fire wardens would require more detailed training as they would be coordinating an emergency.
