Q&A Section with Paul Tierney

Q.
Dear Sir,
I would like to know if I am entitled to a meals allowance as I work as a Service Engineer for a domestic appliance manufacturer and as such I have no welfare provisions in our company safety statement as I do not work in the office or stores warehouse and have my van as my office / workplace
and canteen.
I would also like to know if my employer is obliged to provide me with safety shoes , at the moment I am led to believe that they provide a 25 euro supplement towards buying safety shoes if the employee chooses to buy them.
Thanks

Liam

Q.
Do all employee injury claims now have to go to the PIAB and can they go straight to the courts?
