Don't Toy With Your Childs Safety

Christmas is a time for celebration with family and friends, but most of all for children and Christmas time for children means toys.  Toys are fun and can help children learn about themselves and their environment.  Unfortunately, toys can sometimes be dangerous.

2006 - A Challenging Year

2006 was seen as a challenging year for legislators, employers, employees and safety advisors, with the increase in legislation as well as the increased risk of imprisonment and/or large fines. 2006 was also a tragic year for the families of those 46 people that have lost their lives at work in Ireland.

HSE Data Management Issues

When dealing with a large amount of information, there is only one thing more frustrating than not being able to manage it - not being able to make sense of it.  A wealth of information is of little use to anyone if it is difficult to access, inconsistent, or both

Q&A section with Paul Tierney

Is there a regulation regarding the number of trained first aid personnel you should have in a work environment (i.e. per head of staff)?
Thanks
Mary

One of my employees injured himself when he was driving from my home in one of our company vans.  He has been out of work for over a week now.  Do I have to report this accident to the HSA?
Derek
