Catching the Rays

There’s nothing quite like a nice warm summer's day is there?  Whether it’s lying on a beach in Spain or just in the back garden we feel we should be making the most of the sun while it lasts.  Sunshine contains natural goodness, it activates vitamin D in the body which is good for strong bones, and it definitely lifts a persons mood.  Like most things though, it’s all about moderation.  We need to control the amount of contact we allow our skin to have with the UV radiation that the sun emits...

On The Road Again

The summer is almost upon us, and whether we get the sunshine we would like or not, we’ll all be taking to the highways and byways of the country over the next few months. So now is the time to refresh our memories and take just a few minutes to look at what it means to be on the roads of the nation at this time of the year

Q&A section with Paul Tierney

Hi Paul,

How do I monitor the Vibration in the workplace, as required by the 2007 Vibration Regulations?

Alan.

Hi Paul,

I am due to give a talk to a group of ICA women on safety in the home.  I want to concentrate on prevention.  I also want to say something about CO Carbon monoxide risks and do it in a very practical way so that they will understand.  I have researched on internet but little enough about situation in Ireland.  Any help for me?

Regards, Mary
