Welcome to the Safety Zone, Phoenix Safety's monthly newsletter
Fire Safety at Home

This week is National Fire Safety week.  The aim this year is to raise public awareness of fire safety issues, and in particular, the higher risk to the very young and elderly people who live alone.  Every year approximately 50 people die from uncontrollable fire outbreak - mostly in their own homes.

Stop That Noise!

According to the WHO, noise induced hearing loss is “the most prevalent irreversible industrial disease” of the 21st century. Nearly 1/3 of Europe’s workers are exposed to potentially dangerous levels of noise at work. As a result the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work has chosen 'Stop that Noise!' as the theme of this year's European Week for Safety and Health at Work.
