Hi Erica,

The legislation (The Safety Health and Welfare at work Act 2005) does not specify a set period of time for a Safety Representatives to hold their position.  However a three-year term of office is generally accepted as best practice for a standard term for a Safety Rep, after which there should be a fresh election.  The existing Representative can go forward again for election and may be elected again.
