FAS Safe Pass Training

 

Course Aim:

All construction site and local authority workers (including apprentices and trainees) must ensure that they have a fundamental knowledge of health and safety and any worker, who alters, interferes or changes any building must hold a current FAS Safe Pass card. This requirement applies to all workers in the construction sector.

Course Objectives:

On successful completion of this course, the participants will:

  • Have increased safety awareness within the construction industry.
  • Will be issued with a FAS Safe Pass Registration card indicating that the holder has attended a formal course in health and safety awareness.

Course Content:

  • Promoting a Safety Culture.
  • Duties & Responsibilities at work.
  • Accident Reporting & Prevention.
  • Working at heights.
  • Excavations & Confined Spaces.
  • Working with Electricity and overhead services.
  • Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Use of hand held equipment, tools and machinery.
  • Safe use of vehicles.
  • Noise & Vibration.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Health & Hygiene.
  • Examination.

Assessments & Certification:

Participants complete a written exam and on successful completion of the exam participants will be issued with a FAS Safe Pass card which is valid for 4 years.

Course Attendance:

  • Maximum of 20 participants.
  • 1 day duration.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • Delegates who arrive late cannot be permitted to complete the programme.
  • All participants must bring 2 passport photos of themselves and their PPS Number on the day.
  • Cards are issued and registered by FAS.
